I'm trying to decide whether it's worth getting this (if I barter a little) with the 22,000 actuations, or get a grey market new body for £1225. The body I'm looking at appears to be in very good condition and the buyer is asking for £1000. I know there's been some premature shutter failures on D750 s, as well as some other issues, so for me, I'd want a warranty. The gray one you don't have warranty, but unlike North America you can get paid service where you are? But pricing in your currency means nothing to me, so can't comment on that. Well you don't technically have warranty on the used one, unless it's someone you know who would look after getting it to Nikon. So it's a case of getting a discount based on shutter count or go new. The used body has a year left of its warranty.
#SHUTTER COUNT NIKON D750 PRO#
Considering people on here have put over 500k on these pro bodies, I have little to worry about and the $1500 I saved for not getting a low shutter count D4s gives me enough $$$ for two shutter replacements. So I sold my under 10k D4 and bought an over 100k D4s for $100 less. Prices were falling on the D4 s, but to buy a D4s with same shutter count would have cost be $1500 difference here in Toronto.

But condition was great on both.Īs I said pro bodies are different. The exceptions to this is a D700 I bought at a substantial discount with about 30k and a D700 I bought at $700 or $800 when they were selling for about $1300 That one had 107k. Here in Canada if I can get one with Henrys fully transferable extended warranty, well that's a bonus.

I look for one with box, everything that came in the box and a copy of the original receipt. See what a 5k one sells for and you know what the 22k one is selling for. The difference in purchase price is hardly enough to justify any higher shutter count.Ĭheck it out yourself. At $200 or so less, I'll consider one between 500 shots. On consumer bodies, that is anything except D3 - D5, I look for an under 5000 shutter count. I guess I'd like to know where people place the balance between good condition body and shutter count. Looking for some guidance when it comes to used bodies and what you think would be a decent shutter count on a D750? What is a decent count for a body that could be 3 years old? I am looking at a particular body that has a count of 22000 but is in very good condition.
